SPECIAL EVENT!!!

Dinner & Keynote Speaker: A Video and Interview Presentation about...
“Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz”

Tina MarieCome and celebrate with our keynote speaker, Tina Marie Casamento Libby, the conceiving producer and creator of "Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz," a brand-new stage musical about Judy Garland, her family, and her co-workers. The show covers Garland's early life from 1926 to 1938 when she becomes Dorothy. Tina Marie will discuss the development of the production and share video clips from the show.

Tina Marie Casamento Libby, is a producer, director, teacher and actress with over thirty years’ experience in the industry. She served as Chair and National Theatre/Musical Theatre Panelist of YoungArts for 4 years, and was presented the Teacher Recognition Award by the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. She has directed productions at Infinity Theatre Company, Gallery Players, and Village Light Opera Groups. Ms. Casamento Libby attended Carnegie Mellon University, as well as the University of Maryland, where she was recipient of a full scholarship in Creative and Performing Arts. She performed in the First National tours of "Kiss Me,  Kate" (2000) and "Victor/Victoria," as well as the Fulton Theatre production of "Into the Woods" and "Submissions Only." She also brings her twelve-plus years as a casting associate for NETworks tours and Bob Cline Casting to university masterclasses and workshops throughout the country.

After successfully pitching her concept for "Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz" to EMI Music Publishing (thereby securing the rights to MGM/Feist Robbins music catalog), Tina Marie spearheaded this new musical through numerous workshops and readings, as well as two developmental productions. On this evening, she wil tell us where the production is headed next.

Judy used to sing "the history of my life is in my songs." More than two dozen musical numbers in "Chasing Rainbows" trace the life of "Baby Gumm" from her show-stopping appearances in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, all the way to the MGM soundstages where she began filming "The Wizard of Oz."

Gumm Rainbows travel

In two preliminary engagements on the East Coast, "Chasing Rainbows" has won virtually universal acclaim from audiences and critics. This Saturday night dinner and program at The Sawmill provide a unique opportunity to learn about this wonderful new production and the future plans for it--exclusively from the person who "got the show on the road"!

ALSO: A performance by the First Prize winner of Thursday's Judy Garland Talent Contest!
