Ruby Slipper Theft Guided Tours offered on Fridays and Saturdays at 11am
- A pair of Ruby Slippers worn by Judy Garland in the iconic "The Wizard of Oz" film from 1938 were stolen from our museum in 2005.
- They were recovered in 2018 by the FBI in collaboration with Grand Rapids PD. They have been in FBI custody since.
- As of February 2024, the slippers have been returned to their owner but the case is still active with the "who done it."
- Get the inside scoop from the museum right from the museum Executive Director at the time, John Kelsch! He will give you the inside story on what happened and how it has affected the trajectory of our museum and what is happening with the case now!
- $8/person with general admission ticket
- $12/person if you want to do the Judy Garland Guided Tour and Ruby Slipper Theft tour
- Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another date if need be.
