The Judy Garland Museum® was one of the first celebrity museums to open in the United States in 1975, authorized by the Judy Garland Heirs Trust. The Judy Garland Museum® is conveniently connected to the interactive Children’s Discovery Museum.

Kids under 1 years of age are free for all admissions.
All children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver 16 years old or older. This is for the safety of your child. Ages 16 & up are not allowed to visit the Children's Museum without a child. If a single adult is accompanying a child to the Museum, please do not leave the building for any reason.

Guided Tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays at 10am:
- 35-year Judy Garland authority and museum curator, John Kelsch will give a tour of the Judy Garland Gallery and Birthplace home with in-depth information on Judy life and times in Grand Rapids and beyond.
- Plus, exclusive access to our Judy Garland archives with peaks at additional memorabilia and stories.
- $8/person with general admission ticket
- $12/person if you want to do both the 10am and 11am Ruby Slipper Theft Tour
- Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another date if need be.

Ruby Slipper Theft Guided Tours Here!
NEWLY OFFERED STARTING MAY 2024!!!!
Ruby Slipper Theft Guided Tours offered on Fridays and Saturdays at 11am
- A pair of Ruby Slippers worn by Judy Garland in the iconic "The Wizard of Oz" film from 1938 were stolen from our museum in 2005.
- They were recovered in 2018 by the FBI in collaboration with Grand Rapids PD. They have been in FBI custody since.
- As of February 2024, the slippers have been returned to their owner but the case is still active with the "who done it."
- Get the inside scoop from the museum right from the museum Executive Director at the time, John Kelsch! He will give you the inside story on what happened and how it has affected the trajectory of our museum and what is happening with the case now!
- $8/person with general admission ticket
